OUI and Criminal Defense
Operating Under the Influence charges, whether based on alcohol or drug intoxication, are complicated and require you to hire as soon as possible. Much of the evidence is scientific -- for instance the results from a portable or stationary breathlyzer test -- and challenging them requires early intervention. Further, OUI cases all carry significant driver's license consequences, and RMV action may occur independent of any criminal proceedings.
Criminal defense of other charges, whether misdemeanor or felony, also requires attorney involvement early and often. A skilled attorney can arrange investigation, file and litigate pretrial motions, prepare for motions hearings and prepare the case for trial.
Call me immediately if you've been arrested for a crime.
Civil Litigation
Sometimes business relationships go awry. Whether it's a construction dispute, a subcontract, a purchase agreement or just general deceptive and illegal trade practices, civil litigation is frequently necessary to vindicate your rights. Demand letters, lawsuits and trials require a trained and knowledgable attorney. Further, Plaintiff's-side civil litigation -- whether it's suing for a physical injury you suffered, or an injury to your civil rights committed by law enforcement -- is a complex and ever-shifting legal world where I have significant experience. Call me immediately if you have been party to a breached contract (written or oral), if you have been injured, or if you have been falsely arrested.
Contracts and Business Law
Careful drafting can save time -- and money -- down the line. Further, the person who drafts the contract can usually ensure their best interests are served going forward, as long as they retain proper counsel. I have significant experience with contract drafting, including employment, joint venture, consortium, service, fixed price or variable price, milestone or master service agreements.
Litigating contractual disputes requires an attorney that has significant experience both in the courtroom and in the drafting phase. My extensive courtroom experience makes me the perfect choice to resolve a contractual dispute before it's too late.
